“The city streets will be filled with boys and girls playing… ” –Zachariah 8:5

Growing up is a spiritual disadvantage. CHILDLIKE (not childish) is a worthy goal.

My friend, Cliff, has set a great example for me.

He’s in his 60’s and plays beach volleyball almost every day. He built a state-of-the-art sand court in his front yard. When I lived in the Northwest I drove an hour each way, at least once a week, to play at Cliff’s.

I asked him once about the secret to playing volleyball at a high level at his age.

“Just don’t stop playing. I never take more than a week off. I play all the time and only with people I like, so it stays fun.”

Just keep playing and don’t stop.

Play for fun.

That’s advice to live by. Life is too short to be boring. We never know how many days we have left. Let’s move our bodies… let’s play… and let’s have fun!
