Children are a window to the upside-down, Eternal Kingdom that’s already here.
But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Luke 18:16-17
Why did Jesus say that we need to become like kids to enjoy the invisible Kingdom of God—here and now? The world system is to posture, project, and pretend. Children are simply who they are—unapologetic. They want love, time, play, assurance, affirmation, and they are dependent upon the parents or caregiver to provide.
Jesus: “Yeah, it’s like that.”
Me: “But I’m supposed to be…”
Jesus: “Huh?”
