When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward Him, he said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?” He asked this only to test him, for He already had in mind what He was going to do. John 6:5-6

For the next few days I want to talk about the the amazing story of Jesus multiplying fish and loaves and feeding lots of people. This verse, above, is how it starts.

“He already had in mind what he was going to do.”

There’s something about the realization of our limitations that gives Jesus ideas.

But I don’t have the money.
But I don’t have the time—with a full-time job.
But I have young kids.
But I was saving that.
But last time I tried that…

The limitations of your present circumstance are giving Jesus some ideas. Maybe He’s testing you because a miracle is on the way.
