Bob Goff has talked about how he’d quit something every Thursday… just because it was Thursday. Eventually, he quit quitting things on Thursdays. Maybe he ran out of things or just got bored talking about it, but I think the practice of evaluating your activities and forcing yourself to quit something is healthy.

Our culture is a firehose of consumption. There’s too much stuff. Too much information, ideas, products, possibilities. So much, in fact, we become numb to manage our overwhelm.

Instead, let’s quit some stuff. What can you stop doing today?
What can you stop…

  • reading
  • watching
  • saying
  • thinking
  • buying
  • eating
  • wasting

Less is more. The best way to have more energy what matters most is by quitting something that doesn’t matter as much.
