Your small view of yourself is actually a small view of your God.

“But Lord,” Gideon replied, “how can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the whole tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least in my entire family!” Judges 6:15

God said Gideon would lead and do great things. Gideon replied with his small view of himself. “I’m weak; I’m the least of the least.”

Not that God takes it personally or holds a grudge (He doesn’t), but it’s kind of a slap in God’s face. If your creator—and the Divine Designer of all things—says something is true, just go with it. You look silly when you argue.

What is God telling you that you’re not believing? What’s God saying that you’re doubting? Stop down-playing who you are and believe who God says you are. God uses small to do big things. God uses weak for feats of strength. God turns doubters into the courageous.

Step out of your small views of self and trust God. Be the mighty warrior.
