Is God worthy of your trust?

It depends. What are you counting on him to do?

I remember praying for my brother’s knees to be healed. He was a football player and his career was being cut short because of knee injuries. He prayed. I prayed. We all prayed.

Someone said to him, “God would heal your knees if you had enough faith.” Faith of a mustard seed? Pretty sure we had that. Still, we tried to have more faith… until we realized that those people saying we didn’t have enough faith were idiots.

Maybe this verse is more relevant:

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.” -Romans 12:2

God is completely worthy of your trust. If you’re willing, align with “God’s will.” His plan might not be your plan. It might not be your first choice. But, if you trust it and embrace God and His plan, He will always deliver.

He has a way of working everything for good when you trust Him. His designs consistently outperforms ours. But we have to let our minds be renewed to find and embrace “his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
