Sorry for your loss brother! Suicide is far too common than it should be! I lost a brother in law to suicide and consequently my sister as I knew her for many years! She is great now and thriving thanks to the help of our family! We also lost 2 other family friends to suicide, one a very successful sports medicine doctor who appeared like the most successful person you would ever meet! Have peace and happiness and always keep that wonderful vision of life you have friend!

Unfortunately it is the people we expect least. The quiet ones who don’t talk, who don’t reach out when I’m dispear. In Australia we have a fantastic initiative called “R U OK?” DAY which is about watching out for each other, and asking “ruok?”. Not sure if USA has equivalent but if not you should fire this up on the legacy of your buddies life. It may save many. Cheers AJ

Your authentic vulnerability is exquisitely beautiful. My dear cousin, who was gifted with immense talent, also took his own life. I understand your pain. Thank you for reminding others that they matter and their presence on this earth is significant. We all have valleys and having someone say that could make all the difference in someone’s life.

Definitely spoke to me AJ. One of my best friends was just murdered by her ex and then he took his life also. Suicide is so sad to me. If only people would reach out like you said…
