But now that you know God—or rather are known by God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again? Galatians 4:9
When can you be confident that the mission in front of you is going to work—one way or another? When you burn the ships behind you.
If there’s an escape hatch, you’ll pull the lever when things get hard. No one likes pain. And pain-alleviation is reasonable. Until the pain of abandoning the path becomes even worse than the difficulty of staying with it.
Burn the ships. Go forward boldly. You’re not alone. And, one way or another, good will come.
