To be more effective I need to be more free.

So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law. Galatians 5:1

Let’s be clear. We’re already FREE. Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection drives that point home. Nevertheless, the work of evil is to steal our freedom and make us settle for lesser living.

We can unknowingly make ourselves slaves to so many things: Rules, opinions, styles, doctrines, fears, anxieties…

My default is still to worry—about finances, what people think, if I’m making it… But until I kill the distracting and limiting thoughts and voices, I can’t see or think clearly enough to make the most of who I was designed to be. And I need to be more ME to serve more people.

Which means I need to be more free. Or, better, I need to embrace the freedom (forgiveness, wholeness, accepted-ness) that’s already mine and stop worrying about all the dumb things.

And yours.
