Your favorite people are probabaly the ones who remember your favorite treats.

Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. (Philippians 2:4)

Grandma Pat just pulled me aside and said, “Here, I made your favorites,” giving me a bag of homemade cookies. My Grandma Billie used to the do the same with banana nut bread — two of my favorite humans.

Why? Because it’s the people who remember us and know us and think about us that end up meaning the most to us… Because they show us that we mean the most to them.

Most people seem to think that it’s the money, accolades, or accomplishments that build our legacy. It isn’t. It’s the cookies. Because it’s caring enough to show that you care that means the most to the people who matter.
