Eating and Drinking

The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ Luke 7:34

In the eyes of religious people, Jesus partied too much and was too good of friends with questionable people. Yet, most people I know who consider themselves Jesus-followers are much more sanitary, conservative… boring. 

The same is true of me, but I’ve made intentional decisions in the past decade to be “eating and drinking” with humans—not hanging out with religious party-police.
