We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Romans 15:1

Ours is a journey of failing forward. For ALL of us. We can’t forget that, even when our “failures” become more sanitized.

We bear with—are patient with—those who are still struggling with things that we left behind. We’re all a work in progress.

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had… Romans 15:5

We’re in the business of patient encouragement, remembering that “but for the grace of God go I.” Yes, boundaries, health, and safety are part of this discussion, but I’m simplifying here because, the vast majority of the time, we are choosing…

More patience with people when they fail…

Less judgment…

More grace…

More humility…

More of the attitude and mind of Jesus.
