The calling in front of you is greater than the crap behind you.

But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me… Philippians 3:13-14

The famous Apostle Paul wrote most of what’s called the “New Testament.” His influence was extraordinarily more profound after his death than in his natural life.

While Paul was alive, a great many Jews were nervous and skeptical of the man. And understandably so. Paul had killed people they knew—and in the name of God!

(Self-righteous Religion excludes, then condemns, and at its ugly end, kills.)

That said, Paul had a past he wasn’t proud of and no doubt had a negative impact on some of his dealings with people. Plus, imagine the nightmares and mental images he tried to block from his thinking! But Paul had mental strength to go along with his spiritual wisdom. “Forgetting was is behind,” he focused on what was in front of him, convinced that he was walking out God’s calling for his life.

Go forward, boldly.
