The conditions of Jesus’ birth were a train wreck. So messy, extremely uncomfortable, smelly animals everywhere, no money or support system present… Brutal! Even by 1st century standards.

Scandalous – sure.
Unsanitary – yep.
Less than ideal – absolutely.
Then… baby.
A baby with a twinkle in his eye. A twinkle that whispers to your soul, “Thanks for carrying me and birthing me. By the way, I created you and I’m redeeming the whole human race… stay tuned.”
