Instead of focusing on what you can get, focus on how you can serve.

I’ve been corresponding with a couple friends today. Both have projects that they are pursuing and asked for my involvement. I love these guys, and I want them to win. Of course, I need to make money and feed my family, but it’s become very clear that as I serve others well, it goes well for me. Instead of focusing on what I can get, I’m focusing on what I can give. If it works, we all win.
When we’re trying to squeeze a profit out of every opportunity, engagement, and relationship, we turn others off. But when we serve, and serve well, good things happen, opportunities increase, and, turns out, people get another little glimpse of Jesus.
